内容説明
Since 1990, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has been laying the groundwork for one of the most creative transitions in its history. Their rationale to provide for common defense against the threat of Soviet expansion has crumbled along with the USSR and NATO faces an uncertain future. In the context of today's rapidly changing security environment, the authors argue that NATO is the organization best-suited to maintain peace, conduct crisis management and provide the new East European democracies with a secure environment in which they can continue moving toward integration with the West.
