内容説明
This text is one of a six-volume set based on the teachings of Dr Edwin F. Wylie who pioneered the use of endarterectomy in the USA. Two of his students from the University of California combine their 40 years of experience in vascular surgery and the invaluable process of follow-up evaluations to update Dr Wylie's original work. Each volume in this series combines descriptive narrative text with an illustrated atlas. The series is published in a unique format, with drawings, operative photographs and pertinent X-rays that demonstrate specific vascular problems and their solutions. This volume is devoted to the treatment of many different venous ailments including portal hypertension, varicose veins, venous thromboembolic disease, and lymphedema. Types of surgery discussed include shunt placements, venipunctures, and direct venous surgery. This volume concludes with the author's recommendations for the field of vascular surgery and endarterectomy.
