内容説明
The first chapter covers selected papers presenting the results derived from satellite studies of the ocean and highlights the new data from the ERS-1 satellite. Chapter 2 covers a variety of hydrology related areas - evapotranspiration, soil moisture, measurement of precipitation, snow cover, hydrologic modelling, monitoring of inland waters quality together with the type of sensors required to provide remote sensing data to the hydrologic community. Finally, the third chapter entitled Space Data Applications to Agricultural Meteorology features the concept of Vegetation Condition Index (VCI) in which the intensity of drought is assessed by the relative graphical location of a particular season Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) temporal profile, within the best and worst years.
