Description

Much research work has been done on the subject of cavitation in recent years. The third international conference on cavitation, organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and held in Cambridge in December 1992, brought together experts from a wide range of industries and universities to report on current developments in cavitation. The great variety of topics discussed included fluid machinery, cavity dynamics, cavitation scaling and cavitation erosion. Some of the papers presented were: the chemical effects of collapsing cavitation bubbles, propeller blade sections with improved cavitation inception speed, experience with an acoustic cavitation monitor for water turbines, collapse of a cavitation bubble in a stagnation point flow. This volume is a collection of the papers presented at the conference.
