内容説明

This book is for GPs who are regularly late for lunch, work long into the evening and do home visits on their half days, are worn out in the evenings - and who generally can't cope with the quantity of work. It has been written to help GPs trying to care for large numbers of patients and will be useful for doctors with any size of practice who wish to work more effectively. The author encourages GPs to delegate work to other members of the primary health care team so that the GP's time can be used more productively. He discusses the role of each member of the primary health care team and provides suggestions for improving their efficiency. Every aspect of day-to-day general practice - teamwork, home visits, telephone usage, records, prescribing, "non-prescribing", etc. - is covered from the point of view of how to manage time effectively, achieve greater efficiency and therefore look after more patients.
