内容説明
This book introduces, to potential and existing users, the capabilities and the protocol of the VAX/VMS Operating System, presenting in detail the organization of the User's Interface. It presents a walk-through of the activities involved in becoming a first-time user, and introduces the commands subsequently needed for diverse activities, while describing special features for the more efficient utilization of the available facilities of the system. Its basic approach is to present elements of the system, and to discuss their properties, hierachy and their interaction/interrelation. The book aims to enable VMS users to become competent in describing in full the capabilities of the operating system, rather than an isolated section of it. Readers may range from the truly novice to the highly experienced person switching from another operating system. It should be of use to students using the VAX/VMS system as well as for professional users.
