Description
This is a collection of essays written over the last 30 years by an American political scientist, a leading analyst of interest group politics. He writes: "I believe that politics consists of interests - groups, organisations, or motivated individuals - pursuing public policy objectives. One cannot truly understand how an institution functions without studying what groups do in each institutional context." This volume aims to make Salisbury's body of work accessible and to call attention to its theoretical coherence.
