Description and Table of Contents
Description
This monograph attempts to define and develop group supermatrices in various ways through theoretical formulations. The author demonstrates that these formulations are especially appropriate when deriving stiffness matrices and equations by the finite element method. He compares conventional procedures to the group supermatrix method, explaining how substantial results can be obtained without having to use lengthy derivations of mathematical expressions when using finite elements with simple or complex symmetry. Complete derivations of equations, illustrated with general and numerical examples, are provided throughout the text.
