Description and Table of Contents

Description

Aircraft general systems provide the utilities of the aircraft such as fuel supply, air conditioning and hydraulics. As a basic rule general systems are mechanically operated, involving a transfer of energy rather than information. This book describes the operation and role within the aircraft of aircraft systems. It clarifies the differences between avionics and general systems, covers the special requirements of both helicopters and aeroplanes and looks at the concepts of advanced systems, such as flight and propulsion control. It is aimed at professional and HNC/HND level and at those on aeronautical engineering courses.
