Description and Table of Contents

Description

First described in 1968, IgA nephropathy is now recognized as the commonest form of glomerulonephritis worldwide. This volume reports on the 5th meeting of "The IgA Club", a group of eminent nephrologists, immunologists, pathologists and other scientists with a special interest in IgA nephropathy. The contributions presented provide a comprehensive review of all major aspects of the disorder, including the latest research results and therapeutic developments. For the first time, a session of the meeting was devoted to the mesangium, and the involvement of mucosal immunity in IgA nephropathy was thoroughly discussed.
