内容説明
This book takes a sympathetic look at parents' experiences as they go through one of the most traumatic periods of their lives, and asks how they can be better informed about, and further involved in, complex medical decisions. It argues for the value of listening to parents and learning from their feelings as well as their thoughts. It considers practical questions such as how the organization of wards and clinics affects parents, as well as more philosophical concerns like the need for a revision of medical ethics to cater more specifically for paediatrics. It is hoped that parents as well as members of the medical profession and students will benefit from reading this book.
