内容説明
The 146 contributions in this volume provide a detailed overview for both scientists and engineers on the rapid advances in evolutionary technology in the area of electromagnetics, which have evolved with the recent developments in material processing techniques as well as with the advent of new materials such as high temperature superconductors, advanced ceramics, and magnetic fluids. Growing developments in computer technology which expedite the analytical approach to electromagnetic field-material interactions are examined. Since such interactions involve nonlinearity of material properties, scientists and engineers are now more deeply concerned with nonlinear phenomena in nature. The newly emerging academic fields which were originally introduced to treat nonlinear phenomena in human intelligence and organisms, i.e. fuzzy theory and neuro-computing are discussed in the light of their unveiled competency in analysing nonlinear phenomena in applied electromagnetic materials. The papers reflect the success of the symposium in bringing together workers from various disciplines sharing a common interest in the expanding boundaries of applied electromagnetic materials.
