Description
Visual Representations of Speech Signals provides a unique snapshot of the state of the art in speech visualization. By presenting a wide range of graphical representations of the same speech signals, the book allows current speech analysis techniques to be assessed and directly compared. Time-frequency representations, auditory modelling, neural networks, pitch and multi-channel analysis - these important forms of speech analysis are described by five introductory chapters. The myriad images which feature throughout the book represents the study of over 40 different analysis of speech.
