内容説明

This book looks at English interior design, which has its roots in country houses and estate cottages of the English countryside. The first part of this book explores the author's sources and influences and demonstrates her interpretation of classic English style in a variety of locations including Blenheim Palace, small country houses and city apartments. The second part, the designer's lexicon, shows how the look can be interpreted and provides a survey of classic English interior features from table decorations and window treatments to floral arrangements and colour schemes. Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, the eldest daughter of the Duke of Marlborough, runs her own interior design company called Woodstock Designs.
