English Summary
This commentary on Jerome's Contra Rufinum follows on from Pierre Lardet's previously published text edition and translation. It analyses the historical, theological, philological and rhetorical aspects of the treatise, an important document on the Origenist controversy at the turning point of the 4th and 5th centuries and a masterpiece of polemics by the author which throws light on the entire corpus.
