内容説明
Research dealing with judgement and decision making is explored in depth by the contributors to this volume. Specialists across a wide range of disciplines, including psychology, operations research, computer science, political science and economics, they consider the basic and applied issues concering the field. The first section of the book deals with prescriptive decision science - from the identification and examination of the theory itself, through to specific problems related to the practical application of various concepts. The second section investigates decision making processes and discusses a variety of aspects of both expert and lay decision making. Social decision making is considered in the final section, including group decision making and decision making concerning large-scale societal issues and risk-communication. It is hoped that the important topics for future research proposed in the book will stimulate the development of new technologies and advance the expansion of knowledge in the area.
