"The Children Act Manual" contains the essential statutory and supporting material for those involved in the practice of child law today. The Children Act 1989 and the Family Proceedings Court (Children Act 1989) Rules 1991 are included in their entirety, together with other essential statutory instruments that are used constantly in practice. Since the coming into force of the Children Act 1989, Judith Masson has revised and updated her detailed introduction and annotations to bring it totally up to date. There are annotations to the text of the Magistrate Courts' rules and extensive cross-reference to the Family Proceedings Rules 1991 and the nine sets of The Children Act 1989 Guidance and Regulations. The annotations analyze all of the provisions, indicating how public and private law interrelate. The practical implications of the Act are explored.
