Description

This volume deals with the risks and opportunities associated with the weak links between Europe and Japan. Leading officials, economists and business leaders expound their views on the prospects for "conflict or co-operation". This is followed by analyses of economic interactions. The Japanese labour market, financial institutions and the Japanese economic system as a whole are reflected upon. One study examines foreign entry in Japan, and another the tension between Japanese business organization and globalization.
