Description

This provides an assessment of the recently concluded North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). It assesses the potential impact of NAFTA on trade, investment and employment for all three countries. It covers all the major sectors involved in the negotations: energy, autos, steel, textiles, agriculture and financial services. Labour market adjustment and environmental issues are also covered. Other topics analyzed includes the dispute settlement, intellectual property and accession clause provisions. This monograph is included as Part Five in the second edition of the authors' "North American Free Trade".
