Description and Table of Contents

Description

The carbohydrate moieties of glycoproteins and glycolipids carry important information, some of which plays key roles in cell surface interactions. Structural and functional studies of these carbohydrates are now required in diverse fields of biological science, and enzymes that release oligosaccharides from them are highly useful for such purposes. These enzymes are made up of two groups-endoglycosidases and amidases-and this handbook furnishes comprehensive information about them, including many examples of applications. Handbook of Endoglycosidases and GlycoAmidases will be useful to specialists in glycoprotein and glycolipid research, as well as to those who analyze carbohydrate portions during investigations.

Table of Contents
