内容説明
This volume provides an analysis of the way the world's images of China have been formed since 1979. The product of a series of seminars at the Royal Institute of International affairs, it is written by journalists and China specialists from Great Britain, Canada and the United States. They present original insights into the difficulties faced by Western correspondents, and about the techniques of news presentation and control used by the Chinese government and the Communist Party. Contributors to this volume, along with the editor, Robin Porter, are Jasper Becker, Mark Brayne, Jean Conley, John David, John Gittings, Kelly Haggart, Simon Long, Roger Smith, Steven Tripoli and Elizabeth Wright.
