This text describes an investigation into the current export trading policies and practices of British companies towards the former socialist countries of Eastern Europe, during the recent period of accelerated political and economic change. The investigation was carried out by case study research using the structured interview method, with companies engaged in trade and technology transfer activities with the former Soviet Union. These studies follow up on Hill's previous book published by Avebury, and provide an element of longitudinal research on company-level trading behaviour during a period of rapid market change.
