Description and Table of Contents
Description
The engineering profession has recently expanded its responsibilities to society to include the management of hazardous wastes, with particular emphasis on control by incineration. This book, plus the software contained on the computer diskette, represents an attempt to help meet these challenges. Divided into four main sections, the first part features almost 100 problems dealing with hazardous waste incineration and related areas (such as quenchers, air pollution control equipment, risk analysis) and the second part contains detailed solutions to these problems. Part 3 is a user's guide providing instructions and documentation for the HWI software contained on the enclosed diskette. The final section is a reference manual intended to familiarize the user with the basic principles behind the calculations performed by the HWI program.
