Description and Table of Contents
Description
A comprehensive investigative report into the affairs of Blue Arrow plc and the events and characters involved in them, principally between 1987 and 1989. The main area covered is the takeover of the American company Manpower Inc, achieved by a #837 million rights issue, which made Blue Arrow plc, under the chairmanship of Tony Berry, the largest temporary employment services group in the world. This achievement proved to be short lived, Mr Berry was compelled to resign from the company and Blue Arrow has now undergone an almost total demise. The task of the inspectors appointed by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry was to unravel this corporate story and find out what went wrong. Their conclusions are set out in this report.
