This work describes the paintings of Felix Vallotton, a key member of the Nabi brotherhood, comprising Bonnard, Denis and Vuillard, all of whom were active in fin-de-siecle Paris. It also covers the way his style was related to the neue Sachlichkeit in Germany and to dadaism and surrealism.
