Description and Table of Contents
Description
This package is designed for the three-semester calculus course offered at undergraduate institutions. It features "Mathematica NoteBooks" on diskette for symbolic manipulation and graphics generation, and includes a separate "Mathematical Background and Scientific Projects" volume which provides interdisciplinary applications, enabling the instructor to apply and illustrate the concepts under discussion. "Calculus Using Mathematica" integrates the use of Mathematica software, rather than relegating its mention to a variety of supplements accompanying the primary text. The preliminary edition of the text has been class-tested at major universities. Each package includes a casebound textbook, a paperback projects workbook and Mathematica NoteBooks software. For the Mac version, Mathematica 2.0 or higher, co-processor is required, 6 Mb RAM minimum.
