Description and Table of Contents
Description
Applied Respiratory Physiology was first published in 1969 and through three editions has become the classic text on respiratory physiology. Whilst retaining the format of the successful third edition, the whole book has been subjected to a most detailed scrutiny and revision. Three new chapters on the 'evolution of the atmosphere', 'the function of the transplanted lung' and 'the respiratory aspects of anaemia' have been added and the existing chapters have all been updated and reviewed to include the major advances of the last five years. The new, updated and expanded fourth edition of Applied Respiratory Physiology, will continue to be the definitive text for anaesthetists, physiologists and anyone seeking information about the basic principles and applications of lung function.
