内容説明

Leading experts in the field of uncertainty in intelligent systems have contributed articles to this book. The book includes works from the three major paradigms available for representation of uncertainty in intelligent systems; fuzzy set theory, probability theory and mathematical theory of evidence. The articles cover some of the most important aspects of this new, fast developing field. Sections are devoted to reasoning with uncertainty, network based methods, fuzzy set methods, analyzing uncertain data, measures of information and aspects of social and behavioural issues. The book is of use to both state of the art researchers as well as industrial and government workers seeking techniques and applications to solve their problems.
