Description and Table of Contents
Description
These volumes represent the Proceedings of the Nineteenth Rare Earth Research Conference held at Lexington, Kentucky, July 14-19, 1991. The Conference comprised ten oral symposia supplemented by six poster sessions. The oral symposia focussed on recent research directions, innovative concepts, and contemporary applications in rare earth and actinide research. The themes of this Conference were magnetism, superconductivity, low-dimensional solids, spectroscopy, coordination chemistry, actinide chemistry and physics, and bioinorganic chemistry. The program sought to achieve a balance among chemical and physical topics, reflecting an increased emphasis on the applications of lanthanides and actinides that have characterized much work in recent years.
