内容説明

This nursing pharmacology text presents pharmacologic principles in an accessible format. Each chapter provides an outline, a list of terms, chapter objectives, case studies and study questions. Drugs are presented in a prototype format with drug charts which demonstrate the nursing process in drug therapy. Special topic chapters include biological response modifiers, drug abuse among health providers, the role of the nurse in drug research, emergency drugs for adult and paediatric patients, and drugs for gender disorders and the maternity cycle. The nursing process is thoroughly integrated throughout the text. The chapters on administration and drug calculation remove the need for students for purchase a separate calculations text. An instructor's manual and study guide are also available.
