Description and Table of Contents

Description

An annotated guide to reference material on science and technology. This revised and updated edition contains over 7000 entries, the subject arrangement of which is based on the Universal Decimal Classification BS 1000M. A full subject index reflects the importance of the subject arrangement. The subject index has been streamlined and simplified, and includes more differentiation between levels of subject heading and an index to online and database services. Critical annotations and reviewers' comments accompany the citations. The entries are selective and evaluative in order to guide the enquirer to the best source of reference in subject area, whether the source be a journal articles, a textbook, a database, a bibliography, an encyclopaedia, a directory or a monograph.
