Description and Table of Contents
Description
This is the second in a series of annual publications which replaces "Agricultural Statistics: United Kingdom". The volume brings together the main results of the annual agricultural and horticultural censuses which are held each June in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The census provides the basic physical statistics of farming: areas of land use and of crops, numbers of main livestock types, and details of the farm labour force. Figures are shown for the period 1983 to 1992 with more detailed analyses for 1992 including summary data down to county level (regions in Scotland).
