Description

This is a volume of original essays with a new poll of legal scholars, lawyers, and judges that independently ranks America's Supreme Court Justices. The editors also offer a dozen case studies by political scientists and historians of the greatest justices. In addition, there is an analysis of Ronald Reagan's appointees, and a chapter on the jurispudence of Lewis Powell, the godfather of the emerging center on the Supreme Court. The concluding chapter surveys the ingredients of overall judical leadership, regardless of court level. Henry J. Abraham contributes the preface and additional chapters. A select bibliography and index are also included.
