Description and Table of Contents

Description

The first edition of this book was published in 1983. This edition, containing a variety of anecdotes, has been updated and expanded and covers mistakes and blunders from all aspects of international business, including marketing, management, production, translation and strategy. "Blunders in International Business" aims to increase students' understanding of international business by examining the mistakes that others have made when introducing products to other countries. The examples featured show how different words can translate, often with hilarious results. For example, when translated into Swedish a brand of cereal becomes "burned farmer". The book should be of interest to 2nd and 3rd year business undergraduates, postgraduates on international business courses and business professionals.
