Description and Table of Contents
Description
In this volume, leading educators and researchers examine current and future educational reforms and assess the restructuring that has occurred over the past decade in the US and other developed countries.
Beginning with American school reform initiatives in the 80's and 90's, contributors go on to examine initiatives in Britain, Canada and Germany. The final section of the book considers the future of school reform in light of the changing realities of the 90's, concluding with a look at rapidly changing national economies, the increasing politicization of education policy, and the likely consequences of these changes on schools and educators.
