内容説明

Real-time software systems are the pinnacle of software engineering accomplishment. Extraordinary discipline is needed to safely and correctly design and successfully perform all phases of the software development lifecycle. This text is concerned with the engineering of scalable real-time software systems for multicomputers. Emphasis is placed on the potential applications, lifecycle metrics, design, debug, test and safety aspects for real-time multicomputer software systems. Techniques for handling synchronization and debugging, the two greatest difficulties in a real-time multicomputer, are stressed, and a multicomputer software engineering methodology explained. Based on the author's considerable experience in this field, the methodology employed has been used on several software projects, and its effectiveness for any structured engineering lifecycle model is tried and tested.

目次

  • Software systems design
  • debugging real-time software
  • concluding remarks and future projections.
