Description
Microeconomic reform has become a key aspect of economic debate in the 1990s. This volume focuses on the measures that can be taken at the microeconomic level to improve the performance of the economy. The contributors, all economists in Australian universities, examine such issues as: how much reform has already been undertaken and how much remains to be done; the potential gains from reform; the nature of reforms needed in particular industries; the difficulties in implementing reforms; and, in general, what microeconomic reforms can be expected to be achieved.
