Description and Table of Contents
Description
This study documents the latest research on the subject and reviews the functions, properties and structure of organic substances in influencing and frequently dominating the behaviour and fate of chemical contaminants in soil, surface water and groundwater systems. The book presents state-of-the-art contributions on the nature of solid and dissolved phase organic substances, their interactions with organic and inorganic chemicals, and the implications of these interactions for agriculture and environmental pollution. It considers recent advances, highlights unresolved problems and makes suggestions for future research.
