The second edition of this textbook includes recent cases and commentary, statutes and official reports. The authors provide an introductory narrative to each chapter and commentary on a selection of cases suitable for a range of constitutional and administrative law courses. The book aims to reflect modern trends, particularly the importance in the modern legal world of the power of the court exercised through judicial review of administrative action, and the growing effect of the EC and the European Convention on Human Rights on the English constitution. Police and public order issues are also covered.
