内容説明

This book takes an in-depth look at medical, physiological, and behavioural issues for athletic females from prepubescence through maturity. It focuses on physically active females at all levels, from organized youth sports to recreational, student, Olympic, and professional participation. Recognising a need for current information about the female athlete, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) invited sports medicine experts from a variety of subdisciplines to explore unresolved issues related to females' participation in sport. The Athletic Female is a reference for physicians, sport scientists, sports medicine specialists, and those specialising in women's sport studies.
