Description
This title offers EFL teachers a collection of activities to revitalize the teaching of pronunciation in the classroom. In four sections, the book outlines activities for practising the pronunciation of words in context, English sounds, rhythm and intonation. Brief introductions to these sections provide a theoretical rationale for the practical applications which follow. Access to the activities is made easy by indexes which enable teachers to make their choice according to the type of activity required, content or student type. Appendices give the phonemes of English stress and intonation rules and common pronunciation problems of different native-language speakers.
