Description and Table of Contents
Description
Latest developments in the electronics and communications fields present fresh challenges and opportunities for aerospace hydraulic systems. These provide the focus for this international conference on aerospace hydraulics and systems, which was organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in September 1993. This volume comprises papers from all session areas and covers latest developments in valves, actuators and system control - with consideration given to the distribution of control authority. The improvement of systems reliability is also addressed, with the enhancement made possible by use of on-line monitoring methods and the use of computer simulation in performance prediction.
Table of Contents
- Direct drive control valves and their applications
- direct drive actuation for primary flight control
- flight control actuation system for the B-2 advanced technology bomber
- on-line condition monitoring of aircraft ground support equipment
- monitoring and maintaining hydraulic system health through on-line and off-line fluid cleanliness control
- progress towards a general purpose technique for the condition monitoring of fluid power systems
- reliability assessment of a ram air turbine used on a fly-by-wire aircraft
- designing for high performance seal applications
- part contents.
