Description
New land-fill sites in the UK are becoming scarce and this coupled with ever more stringent Government legislation is prioritizing the requirement for the control and economic optimization of waste disposal. This is a collection of papers presented at a seminar on cost effective steam and power generation by the combustion of waste. Topics under discussion include: the current state of incineration/combustion technology, the economic advantages of integrated combustion/power/process schemes and power production technology.
Table of Contents
- Socially acceptable incineration - a view from the buyer's side
- waste-to-energy technology within integrated waste management
- steam generation in industrial waste incineration plants
- a general review of municipal incineration with combined heat and power
- multi-fuel boiler for firing prepared waste fuels
- waste burning boilers for clinical incineration
- a waste derived fuel gasifier as the basis of a "towards 100per cent" municipal waste recovery process.
