Description
The fruit of extensive research in the historical archives, this work deals with the project to emancipate Madar women, which was undertaken by the civil authorities and missionaries between 1900 and 1960. It deals with women's living conditions in the pre-colonial society, the methods and means used to bring about change, their impact and their limitations.
