"Personal Injury" offers an introduction to the practical handling of personal injury cases for the non-specialist practitioner. The basic law is described and the statutory framework presented, with a description of defences available in personal injury. Areas covered include: damages and interest; investigating the claim; starting proceedings; drafting pleadings; and financing the case. Aimed at the newly qualified litigation solicitor, articled clerk, and legal executive, this edition deals only with county court procedure (following the Courts and Legal Services Act 1991, litigants and are now compelled to issue in the county court when their claim is #50,000 or less).
