Description and Table of Contents
Description
This publication provides an overview of progress in the exciting area of extracellular matrix research. Leading authorities in the field present both experimental and clinical data on extracellular matrix, including basement membrane, in the kidney. The latest findings from molecular biology are included. The topics covered are organized into four areas: the architecture of the basement membrane; gene structure, molecular assembly and gene regulation of basement membrane components; metalloproteinases and their tissue inhibitors, and the pathophysiology of basement membrane components. As the only book to appear on the subject in recent years, it will be useful to nephrologists and other scientists involved in this important area of research.
Table of Contents
- Architecture of basement membrane
- gene structure, molecular assembly and gene regulation of basement membrane components
- metalloproteinases and TIMP
- pathophysiology of basement membrane components.
