内容説明

Over the last decade there have been significant advances in the economic and political integration of Europe, and in the regional integration of the global economy. This study brings together academics from the disciplines of economics, political science and law to reflect on the key theoretical and policy issues arising from this new phase of integration. The study is organized around several themes: the dynamics of regional integration in a comparative context; the dynamics of political integration; conceptualizing Europe's foreign policy role; the governance of the European Community; monetary integration; industrial integration; and the legal framework. Also included are an opening "keynote" article reflecting on the challenges offered by pan-European integration, and a concluding discussion of the research agenda for the 1990s. The book offers insights into the phenomenon of integration in the 1990s.
