This text approaches housing from urban, architectural, psychological and cultural points of view with an emphasis on the problems of design research and education. It is multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural and aims to assert the importance of housing socially and academically. It is also intended to be fairly broad in its geographical and disciplinary coverage, in an integrated framework.
