Description

This diagnostic colour atlas provides a guide to endometriosis. Concise text is used to enhance the histological and laparoscopic photographs of common and uncommon lesions. An account of how endometriosis has been perceived as controversial in the past precludes how current discussion has allowed for recent advances in recognition and treatment. Details of morphology and evolution are followed by a chapter-by-chapter overview of how endometriosis affects susceptible areas throughout the pelvic region; specifically the ovaries, bowel, rectum, vagina and fallopian tubes. Developments in managinging endometriosis through surgical techniques are also detailed.
