内容説明
Recent research indicates that catheter ablation may in fact be the most effective treatment for cardiac arrhythmias. A thorough discussion of this procedure is presented in this book. Beginning with a review of the mechanisms of arrhythmias, the book continues with a discussion of the procedures for setting up the laboratory for ablation and a discussion of tissue effects of ablation. The remainder of the book discusses ablation as a treatment modality for: AV conduction, fast/slow AV nodal pathways, right atriofascicular (Mahaim) accessory pathways, free wall accessory pathways, septal accessory pathways, VT in the absence of CAD and VT in patients with CAD. A discussion of drugs and ablation devices has been included as well.
